'Transformers' Movie Boosts Local Economy

An article has appeared on Yahoo! News about the economical advancements Alamogordo, New Mexico is currently undergoing due to the production of the Transformers movie to be shot this month near the White Sands Missile Range and Holloman Air Force Base.

"Along with hotels, restaurants and coffee shops, the movie has been a huge boost to the area's small businesses.

Nick Synder, who works at the Olive Branch coffee shop, told Action 7 News that set crews have been coming in daily.

McNichols said that Foxworth Galbraith has already sold thousands of dollars in wood that will be used for the movie's set."
